Meridia

Meridia (sibutramine) can be prescribed by your health care provider to help you lose weight. This appetite suppressant is efficient only if combined with a healthier diet and regular exercise. Do not combine this drug with medicines for seizures, cold or allergy medicines, depression or anxiety medications, muscle relaxers, sedatives, sleeping pills, or narcotic pain medicines, as interactions are possible. There is no need to worry if you develop certain side effects that are considered to be mild. The following ones are considered to be insignificant and are most likely to go away on their own: loss of appetite, dizziness, cough, sore throat, constipation, back pain, insomnia, mild skin rash, runny or stuffy nose, upset stomach, dry mouth, and headache. More serious side effects are more likely. Call your doctor if you develop any of the following serious side effects: sweating, blood in your urine, sweating, seizure, easy bruising or bleeding, joint pain, weakness, shortness of breath, confusion, overactive reflexes, dangerously high blood pressure, agitation, flu symptoms, high fever, vomiting, anxiety, or stiff muscles. This drug is not supposed to be taken by women that are pregnant or breastfeeding, as there are a number of risks associated with this treatment.
